Duck is cooked in the way of classical French confit cookery - long and very slow so it retains its beautiful flavour, and develops an extra richness. The result is fall-off-the-bone tender. It's cooked in duck fat, so it is dairy-free.
This meal contains the Confit Duck only - add our Creamy Mash and Spring Vegetables for a complete meal, or serve with a freshly tossed salad.
Duck Breast (98%), garlic, salt, thyme, black pepper
For the very best results - and to retain the tenderness of the meat - defrost before heating.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Take confit out of container, place on a baking tray or dish, and heat for 15 minutes.
Then - to crisp up the duck skin - place under a pre-heated grill for 2-5 minutes.
